La Revista Chilena de Estudios Medievales (ISSN 0719-2215/eISSN 0719-689X), fundada en 2012, es una publicación semestral del Centro de Estudios Medievales de la Universidad Gabriela Mistral. En ella se recogen trabajos académicos originales que contribuyan de manera erudita y especializada a los estudios medievales desde las distintas disciplinas, y aquellos que resulten de la integración multidisciplinar.
Su objetivo es promover el estudio de la Edad Media en sus diversas disciplinas del conocimiento: ciencias, artes, literatura, filosofía, historia, entre otras, fomentando así el conocimiento y la difusión de este período histórico crucial para nuestra cultura occidental cristiana. Al mismo tiempo, pretende otorgar en esta región un espacio de calidad para publicaciones de académicos latinoamericanos.
Desde 2017, Revista Chilena de Estudios Medievales se publica solo en formato digital, cuenta con acceso libre y abierto a todo su contenido y está incorporada al directorio Scielo, Latindex, ERIH Plus, Emerging Sources Citation Index (Clarivate Analytics) y a los catálogos Dialnet, Modern Language Association (MLA), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) y a la Red Iberoamericana de Innovación y Conocimiento Científico (REDIB). Sus artículos, publicados en español, portugués e inglés, son sometidos a un proceso de evaluación de doble par ciego.
Principalmente la revista promoverá investigaciones vinculadas a los siguientes ejes:
- Teología y filosofía escolástica.
- Europa cristiana.
- Siglos XII y XIII.
- Rescate de la lengua latina.
- Arte y cultura eclesiástica medieval.
The Revista Chilena de Estudios Medievales (ISSN 0719-2215 / eISSN 0719-689X) was founded in 2012. The RCEM is the biannual publication of the Centre for Medieval Studies of Gabriela Mistral University (Chile), which brings together original academic work that are a scholarly and specialised contribution to medieval studies from different disciplines and those resulting from multidisciplinary integration. From 2017 it is published only in digital format and its content is open and free access. This publication is incorporated into the Scielo, Latindex directory, ERIH Plus, Emerging Sources Citation Index (Clarivate Analytics) and Dialnet catalogues, the Modern Language Association (MLA), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and the Ibero-American Network of Innovation and Scientific Knowledge (REDIB). The journal publishes articles in Spanish, Portuguese and English which are csubmitted to a double blind peer review process.
The Revista Chilena de Estudios Medievales, belonging to the Gabriela Mistral University, aims to promote the study of the Middle Ages in its various disciplines of knowledge, namely, sciences, arts, literature, philosophy, history, among others, thus promoting the knowledge and dissemination of this crucial historical period for our Christian Western culture. At the same time, it aims to provide in this region a quality space for publications by Latin American scholars.
Mainly, the journal will promote research related to the following axes:
- Scholastic theology and philosophy.
- Christian Europe.
- 12th and 13th centuries.
- Rescue of the Latin language.
- Medieval ecclesiastical art and culture.
